I woke up this morning absolutely stunned by the amount of interest The Vetetoe Family has already generated. I knew our close friends and family might be attracted to a new way to stay connected as we make these changes. I also expected the Linewives who have asked for advice over this past year to jump on board. The one thing I did not anticipate though was having the page explode in only a few late night hours! I want to thank every single one of you for helping make this a success from the beginning. Having you want to follow our story as we embark on this journey and sharing the paths we follow is exactly what this is all about!

A Little About The Vetetoe Family

To the readers who are just getting to know of our family, “Welcome”! My name is Emily and I am married to a wonderful man named Michael. We have two daughters, Aryanna and Alexandra, who are 3 and 1 respectively, and are also expecting a third little girl in June. Our lives are abundant with blessings as we choose to see our tribulations as obstacles to help us grow. We currently own a home in Arkansas where we both grew up but have spent much of our time on the road these last 12 months. Looking ahead to plans for this year we are hoping to either rent or sell our house, trade in both of our vehicles for a new truck, and then purchase a 5th wheel before hitting the road full time. I say “hoping” because we always try to remember that The Lord has a path for our family. He knows our desires but He also knows our needs and will provide if we are diligent. “The heart of man plans his way, but The Lord establishes his steps,” Proverbs 16:9.

What can you expect from us?

The Vetetoe Family

For close to two years I have guided Aryanna’s education through both structured activities and wondrous play. We have had a lot of fun! She will start a full homeschooling preschool curriculum this August and I am thrilled to share this side of our adventure with you all. I will be recreating several of the activities we have done for fun but with a deeper lesson attached while attempting some new ideas as well. There will also be reviews of different websites, lessons, additional learning tools, and so much more!

In addition to our journey into full time “tramping” and our exploration of homeschooling, here at The Vetetoe Family, I will also be sharing travel friendly recipes, life lessons, great reads, or anything else that seems to inspire or influence our lives. So, hunker down, grab a glass of sweet tea (I did mention I grew up in Arkansas!), and be prepared to laugh or cry with us as we tackle this next big chapter of life!
