Welcome to the first official day of Summer! Teachers and homeschooling parents everywhere are busy building lesson plans and planning educational activities for 2016-17 so of course, that is exactly how I have been spending my time. The best part of lesson planning: it can be done poolside while watching the littles splashing in the shade! Last year, we decided on the annual tradition of “leveling up” on July 1st each year. This means that as of next week, we legally have a first-grader! Wild Child is also beginning PreK4 this year meaning we are sure to have loads of fun adventures coming your way!

Starting the first full week of July, we will be sharing our PreK4 and first grade lesson plans, our roadschooling strategies, supplies, and organization tips, how we keep track of our goals, and also how we build our community while on the road. The next school year will bring printables, pre-planned unit studies, curriculum resources, reviews of some amazing products, and loads of giveaways. Be sure to sign up for emails to receive our weekly wrap ups so you can keep track!

Complete Language Learning Set by PetraLingua
Studies show that kids pick up languages far quicker than adults, so it’s great to get a head start when they’re little. Learning a foreign language also helps kids learn about the world, and better understand important values at home within a larger context. We’ve chosen to learn a language from our family heritage. What would you learn?

Leap Pad 3
This kid-friendly tablet is the on-the-go homeschooling mom’s best friend. Kids become fluent in technology and the subject matter with a portable, easy-to-use tool. That’s a win for everyone.

Famous People Freebie for Reading
Free shipping is great – and so are freebies! I like this one gearing up for Independence Day because it has famous people from US history, from George Washington to Sally Ride. Great for kiddos working on reading comprehension, and a nice supplement to social studies.
