Christmas has officially come and gone meaning we are now staring down New Years and 2018. Where the heck did 2017 go, though? Even harder to believe: It’s time for a 33 week bumdate! 😮 Our last update was 13 weeks ago so I guess this really is a bit overdue.
Life since our last check-in has been pretty wild but also amazingly fun. The Mister was promoted to foreman (if you’re IBEW you know this isn’t exactly permanent but it’s been a good thing on this job/call), we had a fun night trick-or-treating on Halloween, we were cleared of gestational diabetes, we got to spend Thanksgiving week in Arkansas first with friends and then with family, AND we had a blast with our White Christmas in Indiana. Whew! I was pretty horrible about updating Facebook during that time but if you follow us over on Instagram then most of it probably isn’t breaking news. Generally, it’s the best way to keep up with our version of crazy! (So, there’s your hint, if you don’t follow us, Go! Go NOW!)

33 Week Bumpdate: All about this pregnancy!

How far along: 33 weeks (Due February 14!)
Total weight gain/loss: +20lbs
Gender: Still a boy!
Movements: This child has by far been our most active little one! With the girls, I had movements and you could see them shifting my stomach some but with Tito we can actually see his feet sometimes. Little imprints of toes will stick out slightly and we can see the shape of the bottom of his foot. It has been an incredible experience, one I will miss dearly once he arrives.
Baby’s Size: According to BabyBump our tiny giant should be about 17 inches long and 4.25lbs; the size of a pineapple!
Workouts: This one is definitely still not happening. It’s cold outside, my body wants to hibernate, and just…no. Sorry, but no.
Sleep: Thankfully, I am getting a lot more sleep this pregnancy than any of the others. I always had hormone fueled nightmares and extreme prenatal insomnia but this time around I only wake up to pee. I’ll take that as a win!
Food Aversions: I am still struggling with my diet during this pregnancy. If you followed our family before then you know I had gotten to a point of being gluten-free, sugar-free, caffeine-free, and dairy-free (for the most part). This child though, he has changed all of my taste buds and keeps me pretty nauseas when I try to eat my usual go-to foods, like eggs.
Food Cravings: These have been all over the place and it is usually something I would normally gag at the sight of…like a McRib. *shudders* My only constant in this area of life has been peanut M&Ms. They are life.
What I Miss: With it being winter, I am seriously missing caramel eggnog with some liquor in it or “drunken coffee”. In no way am I an alcoholic but I’ve come to associate Thanksgiving, Christmas, and snowy winter nights with hot adult beverages. Especially when spending the holidays with my Mama who makes the best versions of cocoa.
What I’m Looking Forward To: Our tree is already down, the mamaroo has made its way to its home beside my chair, and the baby gifts from loved ones have been coming in. What I’m looking forward to the most is getting through January, seeing that sweet baby face, and bringing him home to an RV filled with so much love. It’s almost heart-crushing (in the best way possible) to imagine him here.
